Mountain Weddings

Hey there! We are Mountain Weddings – a bespoke adventure wedding planning team based in the beautiful and rugged South Island of New Zealand, surrounded by the epic landscapes of Queenstown, Wanaka and Fiordland.

We are a collective of wedding planners and photographers plus a post-production team, led by Warren and Steph – and we’re Kiwi! Over the years, we’ve became passionate about bringing together the top local suppliers to make sure our couples have the best day possible.

We also love to encourage you to bring your own personal touch to your elopement, after all, it is a celebration of your love and what you love. Whether that’s booking in at the tattoo parlour when we hop off the helicopter, wearing a bold statement dress you love over what tradition calls for, or heading down the road for one of New Zealand’s best ice creams – we’re here for it.

Many of our couples tell us that they could never imagine having a wedding ceremony with 100+ people and then be forced to sit through boring speeches to “celebrate” their special day. That they are mountaineers themselves, or they love hiking and finding beautiful untouched places. Sometimes extended family were meddling in wedding plans so eloping was an escape from the drama, or they are the youngest of fifteen grandchildren and wanted to do something different from everyone else in their family. Plus…once you see the epic photos and moments we help create and capture, that’s pretty hard to beat!

So we’re here to help create your dream elopement or intimate wedding in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, a place we’ve always called home. We are big lovers of light and would love to plan your wedding adventure with the best possible conditions.

Not only is it a once-in-a-lifetime experience to look out over mountaintops basking in golden sunlight, the world completely still and breath-taking…but we can capture those “wow” shots to help you remember and treasure that moment forever.
