Kellie Francis

President

Kellie is originally from Canada but has made New Zealand her home for many years. She is passionate about sustainability, loves nature and strives to preserve our planet. Kellie’s balance of friendly enthusiasm and compassionate understanding makes her perfect for the role of New Members Chair. Her role is to help all new Queenstown Wedding Association members get the most from their membership and integrate into the community seamlessly.

Kellie loves weddings, big and small and is usually photographing them through Kellie Francis Photography. In her free time she loves getting outdoors, playing with her doggo Bay and travelling as much as possible.

Sarah Noble

Vice President

Sarah is originally from the UK but made NZ home 17 years ago after visiting and feeling like it was where she was meant to be. It’s friendly people, breathtaking scenery and opportunities to enjoy the outdoors made the decision a no brainer.

She loves living on her hobby vineyard with her bees, cat, chickens and last but not least husband and son.

Sarah is super excited to support Kellie and the QWA team in their roles in delivering an awesome resource for couples and the wedding community – the lucky vendors that get to call Queenstown home!

Sarah Arkin

Treasurer

Sarah was the founding President of the Queenstown Wedding Association and has been a dedicated committee member ever since. With three different wedding businesses based in Queenstown covering planning, hire items and eco-weddings, she’s one of the busiest women in weddings we know!

As our Treasurer Sarah takes care of the bills and seeks out any promotion opportunities she can to secure Queenstown as the ultimate destination wedding location.

Melissa Couch

Membership Development

Melissa works as the Sales Manager at Heritage Queenstown and has always been an active member of the Queenstown Wedding Association. She has a wealth of experience in the hotel weddings and events sector across Australia and New Zealand spanning 20+ years.

Melissa’s role as our Membership Development Chair involves seeking out new opportunities and benefits for our local wedding vendors. She’s so passionate about what’s on offer here at the QWA that she loves to tell everyone about it!

Erin Hill

Social and Events

Hello, I’m Erin: a celebrant, mother of three, and wife to one. My role here on the QWA committee is as part of the QWA events team.  If there is anything you would like to see us organise for the benefit of the QWA community or if you’d like to be involved and sponsor an event please let me know, I am all ears!

I am a trained independent celebrant, and I am completely dedicated to co-creating bespoke ceremonies, carefully undertaking guidance from my couples.  Fun fact – I met Stevie Wonder while I was working for Airnz, and he insisted that I jotted down his very own Chilli Jam recipe, a recipe I still use today.

My friends describe me as an adrenaline junky.  Skiing water and snow, biking, fast cars, parachutes, sailing and hiking holidays bring it on, I am up for it all.

Paige Shipstone - Queenstown Wedding Association

    Paige Shipstone

Paige is all things admin for the Queenstown Wedding Association, working as our point of contact for members and coordinating all of the events we hold throughout the year.

Originally from England, Paige moved to Queenstown in 2016 after falling in love with the lifestyle and the beautiful landscape.

While working as administration and event coordinator, Paige is also a makeup artist working in the Queentown wedding industry. She is passionate about the love and joy that weddings bring, and feels very lucky to have been a part of many couples’ special day.

      Lana Ennis

      Workshops

Hiya, I’m Lana. I’m one of the few lucky ones to say I grew up in Queenstown, I come and go but it will always be my home!

For the last 3 years, I have been a part-time celebrant, and venue assistant manager for NZ High Country, as well as founded Adventure Weddings (full-inclusive elopement planning). My first career is as an ED/ICU nurse, which I now also do part-time, working in film nursing/medic role – I love to be on the move, to adventure, and explore all the joyful things life as to offer.

My role is part of the events team for the QWA committee. I was welcomed to the team in October 2023, what a privilege. Please reach out if you have any questions about anything, I love the details and I love to chat

      Sam Jones

      Web Development

Sam developed the new website here for QWA, so if you’re having any issues he’s the guy to get in touch with.

And if you need any help with your own website he’s the guy to get in touch with 🙂

Sam’s been making websites in Queenstown for over 12 years now and has helped many of our members with their own online presence in that time. jonescreative.co.nz
